
Anne formed Free-Rain Theatre Company in 1995 and this is the 13th year the company has been in production. Free-Rain was the Company in Residence at the Currong Contemporary Arts Theatre in 1999 and has been based at the Courtyard Studio at the Canberra Theatre Centre since 2000. The Company has received many awards for direction, best play, acting and costume design. It was awarded Best Production of a Play in the CAT Awards for A Property of the Clan, Cosi and A Month of Sundays. Anne was awarded Best Director for A Property of the Clan and The Baby With the Bathwater (Free-Rain Theatre Company) in 1997 and Flowers for Algernon (Marist College) in 1999 and in 2003 the Kate Peters Award for outstanding contribution to theatre in the community through her work with young people. A Month of Sundays was very sucessful in the 2005 Telstra Countrywide CAT Awards winning 4 Awards.
Anne is delighted to have joined the CAT Award team and is enjoying seeing the versatility and vibrant talent which make up the companies involved in the Telstra Countrywide Canberra Area Theatre Awards.
