Expressions of interest sought for new judges
The ActewAGL CAT awards are now in their 20th spectacular year and as a growing organisation we’re looking for new regional and Canberra-based theatre and performing arts practitioners to join our dedicated panel of judges.
Judges are ambassadors for the CAT Awards and are selected on the basis of their availability, expertise, knowledge and commitment to the CAT Awards policy and philosophy, and must:
- possess relevant specialist or strong generalist expertise and experience in theatre and the performing arts
- be available to attend performances in Canberra and the region as required
- be committed to and be able to demonstrate that they adhere to the CAT Judges code of ethics
- attend monthly judges meetings in person or via teleconference
- participate in CAT Awards official events as required
- act as an individual, not as a representative of any company that the judge is associated with.
Please note: Judges demonstrate their enthusiasm and support for the performing arts community by donating their time and skills. Accommodation for regional visits is paid by the CAT Awards, but judges pay all other travel costs and meals.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to join our team of passionate judges please prepare an expression of interest briefly addressing the following:
- your relevant experience and expertise
- your availability and willingness to travel and attend local and regional productions
- any company associations (professional or amateur) you may have.
